Frequently Asked Questions

Brochures are commonly used for marketing, educational, and/or informational purposes. A well-designed brochure allows you to display a large amount of information about your company, product, or service in an organized, easy-to-read manner. The content of a brochure is often divided into various sections (with clear headlines) and may include photos, illustrations, maps, frequently asked questions, and customer testimonials.

Bifold and trifold brochures are also often used as restaurant or café menus, especially those that offer takeout, delivery, and catering. Having affordable yet high quality menus to give out to all your patrons does in fact boost business, making brochures an effective marketing tool for information of all kinds.

We make it easy to order a custom brochure that fits your needs! We are able to print standard and innovative brochure folds, including half-fold, tri-fold, and open gate fold using a state-of-the-art offset printing process. You can also select from several premium paper stocks such as 100 lb. gloss book, 70 lb. opaque smooth white, and 80 lb. matte paper. You can upload your own print-ready file or use our online brochure templates to create a full-color brochure from start to finish. Our helpful customer service team is standing by in the event you have any questions or concerns.

We offer two convenient ways to make your own brochures. If you prefer to create your own design file, start by downloading the correct template for the exact size and fold you would like to print. Once your print-ready file is ready, select the correct size, paper, fold, and quantity, then upload your file. You have the option of instant processing (if you are confident your file is good to go) or manual processing (if you would like us to double check your file) before your brochure goes to print.

If you need a little help designing your brochure but you’re not sure where to start, we offer a free user-friendly online design tool. Start by selecting one of our modern, fully-editable templates; from there, you can upload your logo and images and personalize the text for your business.

If you have a brochure idea in mind and would like to work with a professional designer, simply add one of our custom design packages to your order. One of our talented graphic designers will work with you to create the perfect brochure!

Brochures come with many different fold options, depending on the size of the final product. The most popular folding options include Half Fold, Trifold (bifold), Z Fold, Open Gate Fold, Closed Gate Fold, Double Parallel Fold, Roll Fold, and Accordion Fold. Brochures can be used to promote your business, explain your products or services, provide an overview of your company, or display charts, infographics, and other data.

Our half-fold (4.5" x 6") brochures printed on 100 lb. Gloss Book paper start at just $48.80 for 100 pieces. No matter which size, fold, or paper stock you choose, you can count on a high-quality product at budget-friendly prices.

Keep these tips in mind while designing your brochure:

  • What is the overall purpose of the brochure? Are you providing an overview of your company's services or just focusing on one service in particular? What is the action you want people to take after looking at the brochure? Is there a clear call to action so they know how to take that next step?
  • A brochure can hold quite a bit of content, so it's important to break up the text here and there. For example, you can use headlines, bullet points, or images and illustrations to make the brochure easier to read.
  • Don't go overboard with the design. It's important that the message doesn't get lost, so don't be too ambitious with fonts or colors. Stick to 2 or 3 main colors and fonts so the overall design looks clean and simple.
  • Have someone review the brochure design before sending it to print - preferably someone who is not familiar with the product being advertised. Ask them if the content and information flow would make sense to someone first learning about your business.

We accept TIF, TIFF, EPS, AI, PSD, BMP, GIF, JPG, PNG, and PDF files. PSD, PDF, and AI files should be in CMYK mode to ensure accurate color output. Please note that our maximum file upload size is 75 megabytes and that the file resolution should be set to 350 dpi.

We offer a variety of paper stocks for you to choose from when printing your brochures. Our standard 100 lb. gloss book paper is a popular and cost-effective choice. If you prefer a heavier brochure, we recommend our 100 lb. gloss cover stock. For mass-printing brochures to hand out at trade shows and conventions, we offer thinner paper stocks such as the 70 lb. opaque smooth white or the 80 lb. gloss book.

When designing your brochure, it's important to keep all critical elements (copy, photos, graphics, logos, etc.) within the safe zone of the template, so they are not at risk of being cutting off. The trim line shows where the final product will be cut, and the bleed refers to the part that will be trimmed off. If your brochure has a background, make sure the design goes all the way to the bleed line, so that the color or image continues to the edge of your brochures. We require a .125" bleed on brochure files.

We created our Online Designer tool to help our customers make a completely custom brochure without the help of a graphic designer or fancy software. You can customize any one of our brochure design templates with your company logo, business name, and any other information you want to include. It's easy to edit the text and graphics for a completely personalized brochure.

Our print production time for brochures is 4 to 7 business days, depending on the paper stock chosen. Production time begins a day after you have approved your order and your payment is processed. If your order is approved and payment is processed by 9AM PT/ 11AM CT/ 12 PM ET, then the production time begins that day. Although we do our best to offer the most convenient production times for each customer, please be aware that production may occasionally be affected by unforeseen delays.

Depending on the shipping method you choose, shipping generally adds an additional 2 to 6 days to the production time. If you need your brochures sooner, please choose expedited shipping when placing your order. To learn more about total turnaround times, please visit our Production Time page.
