FTP Upload

If your file size exceeds our upload limit, you may follow the steps below to transfer your files via FTP (File Transfer Protocol).

Step 1

To set up and activate your FTP server, contact us at info@gotprint.com. Please allow one business day for a response.

Step 2

In order to use FTP, you will need an FTP client to connect to GotPrint.com servers. If you don't already have an FTP client installed, you can install the following FTP client:

Once you've installed the FTP client, you will need to connect to our servers using the following information.

  • Host/Server: ftp.gotprint.com
  • User name:(this is your order item ID)
  • Password: This is the password you use to log in to your GotPrint account. If asked for a port number, enter 21
Step 4

Please name your files using the following format:
OrderNumber-OrderItemNumber-Specifier.Extension

  • OrderNumber: Your order number.
    For example: US-GP-100-20100027
  • OrderItemNumber: The item number in the order. For example: 1
  • Specifier: This could be front, back, spotuvfront, spotuvback, page1, page2, etc.
  • Extension: Extension of the file, such as tif, pdf, jpg, etc.
    For example: US_GP_100_20100027-2-frontspotuv.jpg

IMPORTANT:

All customers MUST follow these instructions at all times while submitting orders through FTP. Failure to do so will cause delays and/or mistakes in the ordering process and will eventually result in that customer's termination of rights for using our FTP system.
