Saddle stitching is a traditional method of folding multiple sheets together to create a spine, then stapling the product through the spine to hold the pages in place.
Order saddle-stitched bookletsPerfect binding is generally used for thicker catalogs with more pages. Once the sheets are gathered and folded, the cover is glued along the binding edge, resulting in a flat spine.

The best size for your catalog will depend on multiple factors, including the intended use, budget, and amount of content. The standard, most popular size for full-size catalogs is 8.5" x 11". Other popular sizes include 5.5 x 8.5 and 6 x 9 for smaller booklets or price catalogs. Be sure to order vertical, 25 or 50 qty booklets to best see an example of our quality.
Our catalog printing prices start at just $93.80 for 100 8-page booklets (5.5" x 8.5") printed on 100 lb. Gloss Book paper. No matter which size or paper stock you choose, you can count on high-quality catalogs at competitive prices.
Saddle stitch binding is the most popular binding method for booklets and catalogs with fewer than 100 pages. During this process, the printed pages are stacked on top of each other and stapled together along the fold line to create a spine. The perfect binding method is often required for catalogs with a higher number of pages (the exact number depends on the thickness of the paper used). A perfect bound catalog means that the catalog pages have been gathered together and a heavy-duty glue has been applied along the edge. The catalog cover is then placed around the pages and held in place by the glue. This process results in a flat spine. We offer saddle stitch binding for catalogs that are between 8 to 96 pages, and perfect binding for catalogs that are between 48 to 96 pages.
For standard, mass-produced catalogs, our 100 lb. gloss book paper is one of our most popular stocks. This durable stock has a beautiful sheen that will make your images appear lively and bright. If you prefer a softer, more vintage look for your catalogs, we recommend the 80 lb. matte text. For the cover, choose between self-cover (using the same paper for your cover and interior pages), 100 lb. gloss cover, 14 pt. gloss cover, or 100 lb. matte cover.

If you are printing your own catalog design, please combine all your pages into a single PDF file. The pages should be in numerical order so we can create the spreads accordingly. You can also upload a zip (compressed) folder containing all your PDF files. The files should be named according to their corresponding pages (e.g. Page 1 Front Cover, Page 2, Page 12 Back Cover, etc.)
Our maximum upload file is 75 megabytes. If your catalog file is larger, you can mail us a CD or flash drive containing your files. (Mailing instructions and address are displayed as part of the ordering process if you indicate you prefer to mail in your files.) Files should be in TIF, TIFF, EPS, AI, PSD, BMP, GIF, JPG, PNG, or PDF format. Files should be in CMYK mode to ensure accurate color output with a minimum resolution of 350 dpi.
Yes, please make sure your catalog files are prepared with a 0.125" bleed. For your convenience, we offer downloadable catalog templates that are clearly marked with the safe zone, trim line, and bleed line. All crucial elements (copy, photos, graphics, logos, etc.) should be within the safe zone of the template, so they are not cut off. The trim line shows where the pages will be cut, and the bleed refers to the part that will be trimmed off. If you are incorporating background images, please make sure they extend all the way to the bleed line, so that the backgrounds extend to the edge of the pages.
