If you're planning an extravagant party, the best time to send out your invites would be around 4-6 weeks before the event so that you can have enough time to hear back from your guests. If you are planning something a bit more casual, 3-4 weeks should be enough time for you to gather in your rsvps and finalize the event plan at a comfortable pace.
